The district nursing teem is responsible for nursing care in the community. For advice, please telephone 01273 402508 between 08:30 - 09:30 Monday to Friday. Messages may be left during the rest of the day.
Health visitors are registered nurses who have further specialist training particularly relating to expectant mothers, pre-school age children and the elderly. Services include parent-craft sessions, developmental assessments, child health clinics, counselling, health education and promotion and positive parenting courses. Please contact on 01825 745008, a message can be left. They are also available at the following baby clinics: Newick Community Centre on alternate Wednesdays each month 10:00 -11:45, and at the South Chailey Surgery alternate Tuesdays each month 10:00 - 11:45.

You may use this service without referral from your GP.
Attends on Fridays. This service is for the over 65's and children under 19 if still in full time education. Those with special medical needs and expectant mothers can also be referred by their doctor.
