A Minor Injury Unit (MIU) is a walk in clinic that helps people with cuts, sprains and other less serious injuries such as eye infections and simple bone fractures that would be treated in an acute hospital A&E. 

You don’t need an appointment – walk in or telephone for advice when the units are open.

You should use these units if you have a minor injury instead of an A&E Department of a hospital.
